Knowledge Base & FAQ
Technical documentation and operational guidance for the Torzon Market ecosystem.
01 Access & Authentication
Verification via PGP (Pretty Good Privacy) is the only cryptographically secure method to ensure you are not on a phishing site. Torzon Market signs all official messages and mirrors with its private key.
1. Import the Torzon Public Key into your PGP keychain (GPG, Kleopatra, etc.).
2. Locate the signed message on the market landing page.
3. Verify the signature. A valid signature confirms the site is legitimate.
Never enter credentials on a site that fails PGP verification.
Torzon utilizes exclusively V3 onion services. These addresses are 56 characters long (e.g., dv4ozfq4533foeo6ux2jq5jrimfpq7iyvhc23xjqhomidesnmjysyfqd.onion) and offer superior security compared to the deprecated V2 standard.
V3 addresses use ed25519 elliptic curve cryptography, making them mathematically impossible to brute-force or spoof. This ensures that the connection between your Tor Browser and our server is end-to-end encrypted and authenticated.
PGP Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds a critical layer of security. Even if your password is intercepted or guessed, an attacker cannot access your account without your private PGP key.
When logging in with 2FA enabled, the server presents an encrypted challenge message. You must decrypt this message using your private key to reveal the authentication code. We strongly advise enabling this immediately upon registration.
02 Financial Operations
Monero (XMR)
Highly recommended for all transactions. XMR uses ring signatures, stealth addresses, and RingCT to hide the sender, receiver, and amount. It is untraceable by design.
Bitcoin (BTC)
Accepted for convenience but lacks native privacy. All BTC transactions are recorded on a public ledger. If using BTC, we strongly suggest using a mixer or coinjoin service before depositing to the market to break the transaction chain.
Direct Pay allows you to pay for a specific order without depositing funds into your market wallet first. When you checkout, the system generates a unique invoice address and amount.
This minimizes risk by ensuring you do not hold a standing balance on the market. Once the network confirms the transaction, the order is automatically marked as paid and sent to the vendor.
- Bitcoin: Requires 1-2 confirmations depending on network load (10-30 minutes).
- Monero: Requires 10 confirmations to ensure transaction irreversibility (approx. 20-30 minutes).
Always verify the deposit address before sending. Addresses are single-use; never reuse an old deposit address.
03 Market Protocol
Upon purchase, funds are locked in market escrow. The vendor does not receive funds until you Finalize the order.
Auto-Finalize: If you do not finalize or dispute the order within the escrow period (typically 14 days for physical goods), the system will automatically release funds to the vendor. It is the buyer's responsibility to monitor this timer.
If an order is missing or invalid, click the "Dispute" button before the timer expires. This action freezes the timer and opens a tri-party chat (Buyer, Vendor, Moderator).
Moderators review evidence such as tracking status (if applicable), product photos, and communication logs. Decisions are final. We advise communicating with the vendor first, as most issues are resolved without moderator intervention.
Torzon maintains high standards for vendors. A non-refundable bond of $300 USD is required to obtain a vendor account. This bond acts as a barrier to entry for scammers and low-effort sellers.
Vendors are strictly prohibited from listing items banned by our harm reduction policy (e.g., Fentanyl, weaponry, poisons). Violations result in an immediate ban and seizure of funds.
